I have quite a few hobbies that I'd like to share with you. Firstly, art, the most important one.
Art has been a significant part of my life for quite a long time. My grandfather is a caricaturist, so I have been learning to draw for most of my life, and I can't say I'm bad at it. I like to sculpt and paint, but I can use almost any form of art methods, from oil pastels to charcoal. I take art classes two times a week and I draw a lot in my free time in general. I also visit art museums and exhibitions with my father quite often.
As you may have noticed, I'm a big fond of reading. My favorite genre is classical phylosophy, but honestly I can enjoy any old book. My favorite writers are Fyodor Dostoevsky, Albert Camus and Oscar Wilde. I read quite a lot, around 3 hours every day. I spend most of my school breaks with a book in my hands. I am also intrigued by phylosophy, which can be connected to the previous matter, since most of my favorite writers were phylosophers themselves, I can't say many new things. However, I can list a few good ones: Immanuel Kant, Plato, Aristotle, Karl Marx, Karl Jung etc. I absolutely adore the concept of Absurdism and Stoicism, even if I have a slight Nihilistic tendency. I just really wish I could relate to existentialism because it sounds so comforting.
I'm also greatly interested in studying Typology, which is the concept of systems explaining and analysing one's personality. (Yes this can also be connected to phylosophy) Karl Jung, who is a wonderful phylosopher, invented the grandfather of MBTI, the jungian types. Other typology systems are enneagram, attitudinal psych, socionics, tritype, trifix, temperaments, temporistics, moral alignments, motives, psychoscopy etc. I should probably mention the name of Naranjo here, he was also a phylosopher who studied typology, and he actually wrote quite a few books on enneagram and tritype typing.
I personally don't like his way of thinking or his theory on anti-intuitive enneagrams, but his other theories are quite interesting. My current typology is IN(F) NiFx sp/so1w9 146 EII RLxAI ELFV Melancholic-Phlegmatic lawful good, tho I'm actually not sure about any of the systems except for the temperaments. I am currently questioning if I'm EN(F) FeNi.
And last but not least, music. Music basically keeps me alive at this point. I listen to music for at least 8 hours a day, without ever getting bored of it. The genres I specifically like are Goth, Hard Rock, NuMetal, Post Punk and Classical music. I should probably mention a few of my favorite bands/composers from each genre: Siouxie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus (Goth) Ghost (Hard Rock) Korn, Slipknot, Megadeth (NuMetal) The Garden (Punk) Sergei Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Vertinsky (Classical). I don't really like pop genre in general, however, there is one artist that I greatly adore and her name is Mitski. I love her music with all my heart, she's truly an exception.
Perhaps I should add that in my earlier childhood, from 5 to 11 years old, I was madly obsessed with birds. One could ask practically anything about them and I would answer in the most twisted and detailed way possible. I could not stop talking about them, and my now friends have since admitted that I was quite annoying because of it. Nowdays my knowledge is barely half of what it used to be, I forgot things with time. I still find them amusing and beautiful though. I envy their freedom, their soft and light bodies that they can control with such ease. Perhaps we are the ones locked in a cage, we just haven't realized yet, with a few exceptions of course.
